We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Salon Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and excellent customer service skills. This role is pivotal in creating a welcoming environment for clients and their pets while ensuring smooth operations at the salon. The Salon Receptionist will be responsible for managing appointments, providing information about services, and assisting with various administrative tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in customer service is essential; experience in a veterinary or pet care setting is REQUIRED.
• Skills in dog training, veterinary assistance, or animal handling are a plus.
• Familiarity with pet grooming techniques and animal care practices is REQUIRED.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) as part of daily responsibilities.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on client interaction.
• A compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners is crucial.
• Experience in kennel work or pet sitting will be considered an asset.

• Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations for grooming services.
• Provide information about services offered, including pet grooming, care, and training.
• Assist with client inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns promptly.
• Maintain an organized reception area and ensure all necessary supplies are stocked.
• Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately.
• Collaborate with groomers and other staff to ensure efficient salon operations.
• Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Assist in animal handling, restraint, and care as needed.
