Description Essential Job Functions – Ground Labor Ground Engineers (Ground Laborers) support daily rock crushing quarry operations in the Kingman area, specifically Chloride, AZ. This position involves physically demanding, hands-on work critical to production, safety, and site upkeep. Work is primarily outdoors and requires physical endurance, attention to detail, and strict compliance with MSHA and company safety standards. Material Handling Load and unload rock, sand, gravel, and other materials from trucks, conveyors, and stockpiles using hand tools Secure loads using chains, straps, and tie-down devices Move and organize materials using wheelbarrows, hand trucks, and similar equipment Remove debris and waste materials from work areas Equipment Operation Assistance Assist equipment operators (loaders, excavators, conveyors) by spotting and guiding equipment Perform basic pre-operation checks under direction Clean and assist with routine equipment maintenance (washing, greasing) Learn basic equipment operation as opportunities arise Cleaning & Maintenance Maintain a clean and organized quarry site Clean around equipment to prevent material buildup Perform basic maintenance tasks under supervision Maintain organized storage and staging areas Safety Compliance Follow all company and MSHA safety rules and procedures Wear required PPE at all times Identify and report hazards immediately Participate in safety meetings and training General Labor Perform assigned labor tasks including shoveling, digging, lifting, and raking Operate hand and power tools with proper training Assist with maintenance and repair activities Perform cleanup and other duties as assigned Physical Demands & Working Conditions Ability to lift and carry heavy objects repeatedly Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and work in various positions for extended periods Outdoor work in heat, cold, wind, dust, and noise common to quarry environments What’s in It for You (Benefits) Full-time, steady work in the Kingman area Competitive hourly pay Paid holidays, including your birthday Medical, dental, and vision insurance with employer contribution 401(k) with company match Training provided with opportunities for growth and advancement Safety-first work environment Requirements What We’re Looking For Physically capable of performing demanding labor Comfortable working outdoors year-round in the Kingman/Chloride climate Strong commitment to safety and compliance Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Quarry, construction, mining, or industrial labor experience preferred but not required
