As a Ground Operations Engineer, you will be at the heart of a global infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation of multiple satellite programs being operated by GSOC. From overseeing routine operations to supporting the launch and early orbit phase (LEOP) of new satellites, your work will directly impact the performance and evolution of these operations.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

We are looking for experts in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Aerospace Engineering or a related field with background and interest in Ground Operations Engineering.

If you want to join our mission-critical team, you should have knowledge and experience in:

• Linux/Unix operating environments and scripting (Python, Bash, etc.)
• Deploying, configuring, and maintaining virtualized environments (e.g., VMware, KVM, Hyper-V)
• Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs)
• System administration
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong ability to learn independently and adapt to evolving technical challenges
• Proficient in English and some basic German knowledge
• Ability to work in a heterogeneous team
• Solution oriented mindset

We will also value previous experience, and knowledge in:

• Satellite telemetry, tracking, and control (TT&C) concepts
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for ground systems

• Experience with system and software deployment automationGood German Language Skills (B1 or higher)
