Description:

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Airbus Defence & Space is working on a new satellite-based communication system. The constellation of satellites will offer connectivity to the customer, allowing connecting elements through satellite RF and optical links.
The system consists of the space segment (two geostationary satellites) and the ground segment. The Ground Segment is composed by a part which allows the overall TC/TM exchange with the satellite, and a part which allows the monitoring and control of the Payload.
In order to actively monitor and control the Payload configuration of the satellites a new tool will be developed by Airbus DS. Such tool will allow actively managing antenna parameters as well as payload channels connectivity settings in order to reach the needed field coverage and performances.

TASK DESCRIPTION:

As a Software Architect, you are responsible for the overall design of the Software.
The Software will be partly developed internally within the team and will be partly subcontracted to an internal Subcontractor. You will be in charge of defining the Software Architecture following MBSE as well as to overlook the Software Development and Validation process together with performing System and Software Engineering tasks whereas needed.
Your range of tasks will timely cover the entire Design and Validation cycle from low-level requirements verification to acceptance testing and Software validation. Your activities will be performed in close cooperation with the Lead Engineer and the sub-contractors.
The holder of this position will be located at Ottobrunn and reports to the Lead Engineer.
