Job description Accredited calibration laboratory and repair shop that specializes in GSE maintenance and repair. We are currently expanding our team of technicians and looking for a skilled mechanic to provide maintenance and repairs on various types of ground support equipment. Responsibilities Responsibilities Service varying types of GSE which include but not limited to: aircraft jacks, hydraulic power units, ground power units, towing equipment and vehicles, engine slings and hoists, etc. Perform proof load testing on aircraft jacks and other lifting equipment Repair and rebuild hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems Troubleshoot issues or problems with equipment and determine repairs needed Verify proper operation of equipment in accordance with OEM manuals and testing procedures Calibrate varying gauges such as pressure gauges, temperature gauges, and flow meters Document all work performed and complete service reports Communicate with customers and answer questions on services performed Maintain a clean and safe shop Traveling to local and non-local customer facilities is required. Overnight trips across the USA happen frequently Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications Skills and Abilities Ability to use common hand tools and power tools Ability to read and comprehend procedures in OEM and service manuals Mechanically inclined and detail oriented Must be computer literate and willing to learn how to use the company’s software systems Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment 3+ years driving experience with a valid driver's license and acceptable driver history Physical Demands Ability to lift 75 lbs Applicant must hold a valid driver’s license and be a U.S. Citizen or be a U.S. Permanent Resident. On the job training is provided. Mechanical experience of any kind is beneficial. Previous experience working with GSE is a plus, but not required. Pay rates are based on previous experience and qualifications.
