JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking to hire a detail oriented and analytical ‘Ground Transportation Pricing Coordinator’ to join our growing road transportation team who will play a key role in ensuring competitive and profitable freight rates. The successful candidate will strategically price and prepare freight quotes & RFP opportunities including FTL, LTL, Domestic.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma in business/ marketing/ related field OR equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in pricing or rating within transportation or logistics.
• Good Understanding of the North American transportation industry including FTL, LTL (domestic and cross border), intermodal and parcel services.
• Understanding of warehousing and distribution processes.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Strong North American geographical understanding.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.

  Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Mississauga, O

• Maintain a high level of market awareness for the North American carrier network including the relative lane costs, capacity & key trade lanes.
• Develop and maintain pricing strategies for LTL (Less-than-Truckload) and FTL (Truckload) shipments.
• Price project requests that provide our customers with innovative, cost-effective solutions; research, source carriers, negotiate pricing.
• Respond quickly to spot quotes.
• Participate in sourcing carriers for new and existing activity and maintain a database.
• Monitor market trends and competitor pricing to adjust strategies accordingly.
• Contribute towards and achieve individual, team and company goals.
• Working as a team in a positive manner to maximize opportunities.
• Provide support to the road dispatch team, coordinating various aspects of freight; scheduling road transportation activities as and when required.
• Any other task as assigned by the Manager.
