Job Description A DAY IN THE LIFE Identifying and contacting potential customers, building a client base, and securing new business through sales calls and relationship building. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Overseeing the entire shipping process, from initial booking to final delivery, ensuring timely pickup and delivery of goods. Negotiating freight rates with both customers and carriers to secure the best possible deals. Addressing and resolving any issues that may arise during the shipping process, ensuring minimal disruption to the client. Providing clear and proactive communication to all parties involved, keeping them informed of shipment status and any potential problems. Qualifications WHAT DO WE LOOK FOR Confident and self-motivated Enjoys working towards goals and objectives in a collaborative environment Ability to provide excellent customer service Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Strong numeracy skills Previous domestic logistics broker background is a plus! Previous experience in business development and in cold calling is a plus!
