• CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
• Knowledge of health and safety practices
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
• Physically fit and comfortable working in all weather conditions

• Clear construction sites of debris and prepare for foundations or utilities
• Excavate trenches and backfill as needed
• Lay and compact sub-base materials (e.g., Type 1 MOT)
• Assist with installation of drainage, ducting, and other infrastructure
• Mix and pour concrete for slabs, foundations, or curbs
• Operate hand tools, vibrating plates, trench rammers, and small plant
• Follow health and safety regulations and use PPE correctly
• Work alongside machine drivers, pipelayers, and site supervisors
