Job Title: Groundworker
Responsibilities:
- Perform various manual labor tasks to support construction and maintenance projects
- Assist with digging trenches, backfilling excavations, and grading surfaces
- Operate hand tools and power equipment such as shovels, rakes, jackhammers, and compactors
- Assist with the installation of underground utilities, including water lines, sewer lines, and electrical conduits
- Assist with the construction of sidewalks, curbs, and other concrete structures
- Clean and maintain work areas to ensure a safe and organized environment
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
Skills:
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in tasks
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
