Description The Palms at 8800 Apartments is now hiring for a Porter/ Make Ready Maintenance. Empty trash cans regularly. Maintain tools and equipment; ensure safe and proper use. Assist with snow and ice removal (if applicable). Support maintenance staff with light tasks as needed. Inspect vacated units and create a punch list of needed repairs. Paint walls, patch holes, and touch up surfaces. Replace or repair appliances, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, and hardware as needed. Test and ensure all systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) are functioning. Install blinds, doors, smoke detectors, and other fixtures. Communicate with property management and maintenance staff about unit status and timelines. Maintain inventory of supplies and request materials as needed. Ensure units meet cleanliness and safety standards before move-in.

Responsibilities

The Groundkeeper is responsible for preparing vacant apartments for market readiness and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the grounds. This includes performing repairs, snow removal, and providing excellent customer service to residents.
