REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 1-years’ experience in a similar customer service role, with previous Porter/Reservations experience advantageous
  • Experience in warehouse and procurement highly advantageous
  • Must hold a valid manual driver license
  • Must have own transport to/from Shute Harbour
  • First Aid qualifications highly desirable
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holiday

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have a casual position available for a motivated individual to join our Grounds Crew team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences by delivering consistent service, managing luggage and freight movement, maintaining inventory, and assisting the vessel crew. Clear communication with the fleet and Port of Airlie is essential, as well as a commitment to guest safety and satisfaction. This role also includes maintaining cleanliness in the work area and adhering to operational procedures and Work, Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide exceptional guest service and maintain professional presentation.
  • Manage the movement of luggage and freight efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate inventory through ordering, receiving, and counting.
  • Assist vessel crew with loading and unloading of freight, luggage, and guests.
  • Ensure clear communication with fleet and Port of Airlie radio.
  • Aid reservations team with enquiries and check-ins, including issuing tickets through CustomLinc.

  • Ability to work efficiently and proactively in an autonomous environment
  • High level of personal presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and ability to multitask competing priorities
  • Great attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office and general computer-based administrative tasks
  • Confident with the use of technology and communication device
