JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker (full or part time) who takes a pride in their work to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of various local sites and outdoor spaces. This role requires a strong understanding of groundskeeping and landscape maintenance, as well as the ability to operate various tools and equipment effectively.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in garden and groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred but not essential.
• Able to operate safely all general grounds maintenance equipment i.e. mowers, strimmer’s, hedge cutters, blowers etc (although we are happy to train)
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• A keen eye for detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation are met.
• Good communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• A valid driving licence is an advantage
• PA1 & PA6 is an advantage, although we are happy to send our operatives on the training course

• Perform regular groundskeeping tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
• Maintain flower beds, gardens, and other landscaped areas
• Dig and prepare soil for planting new vegetation or landscaping features.
• Operate power tools such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers safely and efficiently.
• Use hand tools for various tasks including digging, planting, and maintaining garden areas.
• Ensure all areas are kept tidy
• Assist with seasonal tasks such summer and autumn plant displays, leaf removal or snow clearance when necessary.
