GROUNDS KEEPING SUPERVISOR – MORSKY INDUSTRIAL SERVICES

Morsky Industrial Services is seeking a Grounds Keeping Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and care of outdoor spaces, including lawns, ditches, and other landscaped areas. They will also be responsible for winter maintenance activities such as snow removal and salt/sanding of roadways and parking lots. The location will be at Belle Plaine, SK. They will manage a team of groundskeepers, ensuring efficient and effective upkeep of these areas while adhering to safety and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision and Coordination:

Supervise and direct a crew of groundskeepers, including assigning tasks, setting work schedules, and ensuring efficient workflow.

• Maintenance and Upkeep:

Oversee the planting, maintenance, and upkeep of lawns, trees, shrubs, and hedges.

• Resource Management:

Manage the resources needed for grounds maintenance, including materials, equipment, and labor.

• Training and Safety:

Train new employees on job duties and company policies, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and procedures.

• Client Interaction:

Interact professionally and attend meetings with clients and address any concerns or issues related to the grounds.

• Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare work orders and other permits, maintain financial and personnel records, and ensure proper documentation of all activities.

• Problem Solving:

Identify and resolve work-related problems, ensuring timely completion of tasks and addressing any issues that may arise.

• Bidding on Contracts:

May participate in the bidding process for landscaping and grounds maintenance contracts.

• Winter Maintenance:

Will be responsible for snow removal and winter grounds maintenance.

• Hiring and Personnel Management:

May be involved in the hiring process and management of grounds keeping staff.
