Green Wood Parks is an established family run business that manages six holiday caravan parks and one residential caravan park.
We are looking for a Grounds Maintenance Manager to run our Bablock Hythe Caravan Park and neighbouring Thameside Court Park.
Bablock Hythe is a picturesque holiday caravan park located on the river Thames, between Oxford and Witney, containing 260 privately owned static caravans, 2 hire caravans and 50 boat moorings. Thameside Court is a small and friendly residential caravan park located next door, with 60 park homes.
Your job will be to look after the grounds, the buildings, and our customers for both parks, and manage a team of 3 Park Assistants. This is a hands on position and your duties will include grass cutting, hedge cutting, strimming, gardening, park and grounds development, general maintenance and repairs, security, health & safety, cleaning & litter collection, caravan sales, caravan siting, basic plumbing and electrics, gas bottle deliveries, and caravan drain downs.
This is a physical role, requiring someone who is happy to work outdoors in all weather, able to maintain and operate machinery, climb a ladder to fix a leaky roof, and crawl under a caravan to connect up the plumbing. You will also need to be friendly enough to handle customer enquiries, sell caravans and resolve complaints.
The majority of the park’s administration work is handled by our head office in West Sussex, but you will be required to perform some office admin tasks, so you will also need to be organised, a good communicator, and able to use a computer and send emails.
The role is offered as a permanent full time position. You will be required to work a 6 day week in the summer (Mar to Oct) and a 5 day week in the winter (Nov to Feb) when the park is closed.
Free accommodation is provided on site in a 2 bedroom twin unit mobile home with double glazing and central heating.
Previous caravan park experience and knowledge of static caravans is preferred. But we will also consider applicants from a groundskeeping, gardening, maintenance, building or farming background. You must have a valid UK driving licence.
