Flamingo Island Flea Market is seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to join our maintenance team. This Part-time role is essential to keeping our market clean, safe, and welcoming for both vendors and visitors. This position is responsible for the overall upkeep of the property, with a primary focus on restroom cleanliness and functionality, trash removal, and general facility care. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to handle a variety of tasks ranging from routine cleaning and landscaping to minor repairs and event support. Duties: * General Repairs: Perform minor repairs to buildings, fixtures, equipment, and vendor booths (painting, patching, plumbing, basic electrical work, etc.). * Facility Maintenance: Maintain restrooms, lighting, signage, and other public areas in safe working condition. * Trash Removal: Empty trash bins regularly throughout the day, remove debris from common areas, and maintain cleanliness across the property. * Landscaping & Grounds keeping: Mow lawns, trim bushes, remove weeds, water plants, and maintain walkways and outdoor areas. * Event Support: Set up and take down tables, tents, signage, and other materials for special events or weekend activities. * Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of the property to identify and address potential hazards or needed repairs. * Customer & Vendor Support: Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from market vendors or management. * Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent preferred * 1+ year experience in maintenance, landscaping, or similar role * Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general repairs * Ability to operate maintenance and landscaping equipment (e.g., mowers, blowers, hand tools) * Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently * Good physical condition – must be able to lift 50 lbs, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and be on your feet for long periods * Reliable transportation and punctuality a must
