As a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our grounds maintenance operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of grounds maintenance operatives in performing a variety of tasks, including mowing, trimming, planting, and debris removal
  • Providing guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure high-quality work and adherence to Health & Safety protocols
  • Planning and organizing daily work assignments, prioritising tasks, and ensuring that deadlines are met
  • Conducting regular inspections of grounds to identify extra maintenance works and address any client issues promptly
  • Monitoring stock levels of tools, and supplies in your vehicle, working with your Contract Manager as appropriate
  • Promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team and fostering a positive work environment for all team members.
  • Winter gritting and snow clearance will also perform part of this role
