Grounds Operative, £26,000pa + 23 days’ holiday + bank holidays + pension + uniform and PPE supplied + training and career development.
The Role: We are seeking to appoint a Grounds Operative with a quality and customer focused approach who would like to progress their career in this fast growing and friendly company. Our team is expanding so we are happy to receive applications from Groundsmen / Ground Maintenance Operatives. Relevant experience is highly preferably but we will also consider recruiting an exceptional candidate as a Trainee Groundsman / Grounds Person.
The Company: CPS Grounds Ltd are a leading and well-established Grounds Management company, who also fulfil a range of landscaping and outdoor projects. Working primarily within the education and sports field sector they maintain over 200 schools and sports grounds, as well as hotels, leisure centres, industrial parks grounds etc. in the Bristol, Somerset, Bath and South Gloucestershire areas.
Location: Based at our Main office/depot in Warmley, East Bristol (BS30 5LX).
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS;
· Grounds maintenance experience; gardening, horticulture, grass cutting, grass care, hedge cutting, border maintenance etc.
· A good team player with excellent customer service skills and a strong work ethic with a focus on delivering work of the highest standard
· Physically fit with experience of working in a physically demanding environment.
· An interest in landscaping, sports fields, grounds maintenance, horticulture etc.
· A full UK driving license
· The right to work in the UK
· Willingness to pass a enhanced DBS check
Experience of working as a Groundsman / Grounds Maintenance Operative, with any of the following skills would be highly preferable;
· Experience of using relevant machinery; pedestrian and sit-on, Tractors, Gang Mowers etc.
· Horticulture / technical qualifications
· A PA1/PA6 Pesticide Spraying Licence
· H&S and first aid knowledge
· Supervisory skills (for Team Leader level)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.00am-3.00pm (Winter hours), 7am-4pm (Summer hours)
