SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Candidates should have horticultural background with good plant knowledge.
You must be able to demonstrate the ability to competently operate and maintain a ride on grass cutting machine plus all other typical GM machinery.
You must be a team player who understands the importance of good morale and proactively pursues good professional relationships with colleagues.
You must be able to carry out the physical demands of the post.
You must be able to do any paperwork associated with the post e.g. timesheets, work schedules, maintenance records etc. Knowledge of computers/smartphones would also be beneficial.
An ordinary Driving Licence is essential and C1+E is desirable.
You must have a valid UK driving licence as this post requires you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth and Kinross.
To be successful, you must have a valid UK driving licence.
A C1 + E Licence, CPC Card and a Digital Tachograph Card are desireable.
You will be aware of Road Transport Regulations, be able to carry out the physical demands of the job, and as a representative of the Council, you will have the ability to communicate effectively with members of the public as well as colleagues.
You will bring a positive energy; have the ability to work well as part of a team.
You will be aware of Health & Safety legislation, have effective visual skills with the ability to ensure the safety of other road users and pedestrians.
You will have the ability to carry out vehicle inspections, ensuring that your vehicle is safe to drive and meets all legal requirements.
You will have the ability to operate and to navigate in and around the Perth & Kinross area.
