Job Description Join the iconic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and be part of a team that helps maintain the breathtaking natural beauty that surrounds our resort. As a Grounds Person, you will ensure the pristine upkeep of the exterior property, including lawns, pathways, gardens, and outdoor facilities. Your efforts directly contribute to creating a welcoming and luxurious guest experience year-round. Contract Type: Fixed Term until May 2026 Pay Rate: $19.57/hour Start Date: December 2025 Job Duties Include: Perform daily grounds maintenance including lawn care, snow removal, landscaping, and upkeep of outdoor furniture and signage Maintain cleanliness of walkways, driveways, patios, and entrances to ensure guest safety and aesthetic appeal Operate power tools such as lawnmowers, snowblowers, and trimmers safely and efficiently Operate a range of heavy machinery and equipment including tractors, skid steers, snowplows, and lawn care machinery in a safe and effective manner Monitor irrigation systems, water lawns, and assist in seasonal planting and removal Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment and report major issues to the Engineering leadership team Carry out duties that involve working at heights (e.g. roof snow removal, gutter cleaning) while using appropriate fall protection equipment Qualifications Your skills and experience includes: Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or property maintenance an asset Experience operating heavy machinery (e.g., skid steer, tractor, snowplow) an asset Comfortable and experienced working at heights with proper use of fall protection equipment Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license (or equivalent) with clean driving record required Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including lifting up to 50 lbs Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor equipment maintenance Additional Information Job Perks & Benefits: Subsidized staff accommodation provided on-site for full time status employees One complimentary meal per shift in our staff cafeteria (additional meals can be purchased for $5/meal) Comprehensive benefits package (Medical, Vision & Dental) including extended benefits like; Mental Health (up to $5,000/year), Orthodontics (up to $2,500/year), Fertility Drugs and Gender Affirmation (Lifetime maximum of $10,000) for full time permanent status employees Defined Contribution Pension Plan with employer matching up to 5% of annual earnings for full time permanent status employees Employee travel program with discounts on room rates as well as on food & beverage at Fairmont & Accor properties world-wide Access to the Mountain Explorer Travel Program - Discounted room rates including 50% off all food & beverage at Fairmont Resorts in Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper & Whistler (subject to availability) Opportunity to develop your talent and grow within Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and over 5,000 properties with Accor Visa Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
