The Opportunity: The Grounds Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance and care of the club’s golf course and surrounding landscaped areas. This role ensures that all grounds are maintained to the highest standards of playability, aesthetics, and safety. The Grounds Supervisor will lead and motivate the grounds crew, coordinate maintenance activities, and support the Director of Agronomy & Landscaping in achieving departmental goals. Duties and Functions Supervise and direct daily tasks of the grounds crew, including scheduling and work assignments. Inspect golf course and grounds daily to identify maintenance needs and ensure high standards of appearance and playability. Operate and maintain specialized turf equipment; train staff on proper equipment use and safety procedures. Oversee irrigation schedules, repairs, and adjustments to ensure optimal turf health. Assist in application of fertilizers, pesticides, and other turf treatments in compliance with safety and environmental guidelines. Monitor inventory of supplies and equipment; report needs to the Director of Agronomy & Landscaping. Enforce safe work practices and ensure compliance with all club policies and regulations. Communicate effectively with team members, club management, and members as needed. Support special projects and seasonal preparations such as aerification, overseeding, and storm cleanup. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualification Standards High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 3 years of golf course or grounds maintenance experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. Knowledge of turfgrass maintenance practices, irrigation systems, and use of maintenance equipment. Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Good physical condition with ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
