Seasonal (Seasonal) JOB TITLE: Village Grounds Technician DIVISION: Village Operations REPORTS TO: Village Grounds Supervisor and Maintenance & Grounds Manager LOCATION: Village CLASSIFICATION: Full Time/Seasonal/Hourly DEPARTMENT: Village Operations POSITION: Maintain a safe and guest-friendly environment in parking lots and village areas; maintain safe and efficient loading zones; remove snow and ice from walkways and resort common areas in winter; landscape and repair outdoor facilities in summer; perform all other aspects and daily operations of the Village Grounds Department that may be assigned. Assist lodging guests with minor maintenance issues that may arise during their stay. Provide assistance and helpful guidance to guests in a courteous, professional, and respectful manner. SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have sufficient communication skills to answer guest questions and the physical ability necessary to complete all other Village Grounds duties and responsibilities including cleaning Must have the desire and ability to tolerate and work in varying weather conditions for extended periods including cold temperatures, inclement weather, and moving between indoor and outdoor environments Must be able to lift 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods The ability to meet and/or exceed satisfactory performance levels in all duties as assigned Willing to work flexible schedules, dependent on weather patterns General mechanical skills necessary for routine building maintenance (i.e. changing light bulbs, replacing smoke detector batteries, fixing a running toilet, lighting fireplace pilots, etc) A positive attitude and willingness to learn JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Snow removal with snow shovels and power-assisted snow removal equipment in Winter Landscaping including paver repair Constant and continuous collection of trash and debris, sweeping, etc. Assist resort lodging guests with general maintenance needs Assist Club Solitude with pool chemical readings and pool maintenance Be open to willingly accept other grounds maintenance duties and responsibilities within the department. Communicate pleasantly and respectfully with fellow employees and guests Assist guests with parking directions and with their equipment in loading zones.
