Description The Grounds Technician plays a key role in creating a welcoming, well-maintained, and safe environment for our residents, visitors, and team members. As the front line of customer care, this position carries out daily grounds maintenance with pride, professionalism, and a commitment to exceptional service. We’re looking for someone who shares our core values: Positive Team Player Creative & Solution Oriented Industrious Knowledgeable Trustworthy Key Responsibilities Grounds & Exterior Care Daily trash pickup, remove pet waste as needed. Clean curbs, sidewalks, carports, and parking lots (sweeping or blowing). Pull weeds, spray weeds in parking lots and sidewalks, deadhead flowers, and water landscaping. Maintain rain gardens and flowerpots. Seasonal landscaping: spring/fall bed clean-ups, trimming shrubs, laying mulch. General Maintenance Support Assist with basic service tasks as assigned. Support apartment turnover preparation, including light painting. Perform touch-up painting on doors, trim, posts, and similar surfaces. Clean dryer vents. Support dumpster corral clean-up and minor repairs. Property Cleanliness & Safety Perform interior and exterior light checks. Wipe down frequently touched surfaces (door handles, elevator buttons, etc.). Deep clean building hallways and common areas on a scheduled basis. Seasonal Weather Response Salt walkways and ADA parking areas. Assist with sidewalk snow removal and touch-up after vendor services. Requirements Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance. Ability to perform physical tasks in all weather conditions. Successful completion of background check, drug screen, and required physical testing.
Responsibilities
The Grounds Technician is responsible for daily grounds and exterior care, including trash removal, cleaning common areas, weeding, and seasonal landscaping tasks to maintain a welcoming environment. This role also involves supporting general maintenance tasks such as light painting and assisting with property cleanliness and safety checks.
