Position Overview: Under the direction of the Lead Groundskeeper, assist in grounds maintenance projects. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Plan and organize the work assigned from Director of Maintenance. Evaluate and determine work and repairs to be performed. Recommend the best procedures or methods for completing jobs. Interact with other maintenance personnel to coordinate the maintenance projects. Prioritize and schedule work to be performed. Operate ground maintenance power equipment. Assists in removal of snow as member of the snow team. Participates in campus trash collection. Adheres to all established safety regulations. Endorses and complies with the Vision, objectives, procedures, and policies of Bethany Village and the maintenance department. Basic Duties & Responsibilities: Develop daily work schedules and assign to personnel. Review grounds for upkeep. Request needed equipment, tools, supplies and materials. Clean areas used at the time of completion of work or at the end of the day. All other duties as assigned. Requirements Education Required: High School diploma/GED recommended for this position. Ability to read and write English is required. Valid Driver's License is preferred. Experience Required: We could expect it to take around three months of on the job experience to satisfactorily perform this job. Hazards: Exposure to the following may be present in this position: Power tools, Exposure to pesticides and herbicide chemicals. Fumes and noise from vehicles and equipment operation. Dust, dirt oil/grease. Working with or around machinery with moving part. Extreme weather conditions. Equipment Used: General tools, power tools, & ladders. Vehicles with plow equipment. Salting equipment. Working Conditions: Varied Shifts Some weekends & holidays required. Must be able to work independently, and prioritize duties. Working conditions for this position may include the following: Inside, outside, hot, cold, humid, dry, wet, dusty, dirty, odors, noisy, adequate lighting/ventilation, mechanical hazards, moving objects, high places, working with/around others, working alone. Physical Demands: Some heavy lifting required (~30 lbs, @ 5% of time). ~20 lbs, @ 5% of time
Responsibilities
