Annual Salary: $37,440.00 - $40,053.00 Hourly: $19.20 - $20.54 Department: Culture & Recreation, Grounds Maintenance Division: Park & Landscape Maintenance FLSA: Non-Exempt Job Description: In this role, you will assist in the maintenance of public parks, property, and rights-of-way using a variety of machines, tools and equipment. Examples of Duties: Works on a crew under general supervision. Cuts lawns. Trims and edges around walks, flower beds, and walls. Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs. Sprays lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides. Rakes and bags or burns leaves. Cleans grounds and removes litter. Cleans out drainage ditches and culverts. Sharpens tools such as weed cutters, edging tools, and shears. Makes minor on-site repairs to equipment such as lawn mower, spreader, and weed trimming equipment. Receives instruction and training in proper safety precautions Performs other duties as assigned.
