As a Groundskeeper your attentiveness, efficiency and commitment will ensure the hotel remains an enjoyable travel destination. Hourly Rate: $26.88 What you will do: Ensure assigned work area is free of debris Safely operate mowers, basic hand and power tools Repair or replace irrigation systems Replace plant material as directed Trim foliage and mow lawns as directed Control weed or insect population with appropriate tools May be required to spray chemicals for weed or insect control Clean parking area, driveways and pathways as assigned Ensure that overall cleanliness and maintenance of our resort exceeds expectations. Organize time so all side work is completed according to shift demand Qualifications Your experience and skills include: One year previous experience in a similar role Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process Must be service oriented and capable of communicating effectively with persons involved in all levels of authority, both internally and externally Your working environment: Work tasks are performed outdoors. Outdoor conditions will vary throughout the year. Must be able to withstand very warm and sunny conditions Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull 100 lbs. Constant standing and walking Frequent lifting/carrying Occasional pushing and pulling Frequent crouching, bending, stooping, and kneeling Must have manual dexterity to be able to operate all necessary equipment Additional Information All Candidates must be in possession of identification proving authorization to work in the United States as defined in the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA).
