The Peel Compton Foundation is looking for a Groundskeeper to join our team. We are looking for a Groundkeeper who truly enjoys the craft of outdoor work. Beyond just maintenance, we need someone with a passion for planting and a keen eye for horticultural detail to keep our grounds thriving. This is a full-time opportunity with a full benefits package. Typical schedule: Monday – Friday (day shift) Please submit a resume stating all your lawncare, maintenance, groundskeeping experience (even if it is just a hobby) What You’ll Do Curate the Landscape: Perform high-standard lawn care, including mowing, and fertilization. Horticultural Care: Plant, prune, and maintain trees, shrubs, and seasonal flowers to ensure peak health and visual appeal. Infrastructure Maintenance: Keep walkways, parking lots, and common areas free of debris, snow, and ice. Irrigation Management: Monitor and perform minor repairs on sprinkler systems to ensure efficient water usage. Equipment Stewardship: Operate and maintain lawncare equipment. Seasonal Transitions: Lead the charge on leaf removal in the fall and snow mitigation during winter months. What You Bring to the Team Focus on detail. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs comfortably. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in professional landscaping or grounds maintenance. Basic knowledge of local plant species and pest control. Valid driver’s license. Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Responsibilities
