YOUR NEW ROLE

Our client is seeking a Groundwork Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to play a pivotal role in the commercial success of projects across Merseyside and surrounding areas. You’ll be responsible for both estimating new work and commercially managing live groundwork packages, primarily on high-rise residential and commercial developments. This is a hybrid role ideal for someone looking to take full ownership of tendering and post-contract cost control.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and competitive tenders for groundwork and RC packages
• Attending site visits and pre-tender meetings to assess project scope
• Identifying and measuring materials, labour, and plant requirements
• Managing subcontractor procurement and negotiation
• Preparing and issuing enquiries for subcontractors and suppliers
• Monitoring ongoing project costs and preparing monthly CVRs
• Liaising with project managers to ensure alignment between commercial and operational teams
• Managing variations, valuations, and final accounts
• Reporting to the Commercial Director on project performance and risk
