JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in various construction and civil engineering projects, ensuring that groundwork is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and quality, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other team members on-site.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in groundworks or a related field is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Familiarity with construction tools and equipment is preferred.
  • A valid CSCS card is desirable; candidates without one may still apply if willing to obtain it.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment are essential.
  • A proactive attitude towards safety practices and a willingness to learn new skills will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out excavation and groundwork tasks, including digging trenches and preparing sites for construction.
  • Assist in the installation of drainage systems, foundations, and other essential structures.
  • Operate hand tools and machinery safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored correctly.
  • Follow health and safety regulations at all times, reporting any hazards or incidents to supervisors promptly.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure seamless project progression.
  • Perform general labouring duties as required to support the construction team.
