OVERVIEW

We are seeking skilled and dedicated Groundworkers and Pipelayers to join our team. This includes tasks such as site clearance, excavation, drainage installation, concreting, kerbing, and general groundwork duties. You will work closely with site supervisors, plant operators, and other trades to ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to specification.

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a Groundworker in civil engineering or construction.
• Competence in drainage, kerbing, concreting, and general groundwork.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and small plant machinery safely.
• Understanding of site plans and basic setting out.
• Valid CSCS card (NVQ level 2 or above groundworks background related).
• CPCS / NPORS tickets for plant operation (desirable).

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid CSCS (NVQ level 2 or above groundworks background related)
• Valid “Safety Critical Medical” (we can provide further information on this)
• Right to work “Compliance 101”
  Drug & Alcohol testing is carried out at induction and at random throughout duration of works.
  Working hours: 07:30 to 17:30
  We are recruiting for individuals and gangs.
  This is a live requirement, so successful candidates can start immediately.

• Carry out excavation and earthworks using hand tools and small plant equipment.
• Lay and install drainage systems, ducts, manholes, and other underground services.
• Construct kerbs, edging, block paving, and other hard landscaping features.
• Backfill and compact trenches and excavations to specified standards.
• Assist with the safe movement of materials and equipment on site.
• Read and interpret basic site drawings and levels.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
