JOB OVERVIEW

This is a strategic role for an experienced groundworks estimator who is confident in tendering, client facing and being able to take an active role in the continual development of the business with both new and existing clients.
Key Responsiblities
- Take the lead on pricing tenders for residential and commercial groundwork packages
- Engage with new and existing clients to understand project requirements and build trust
- Prepare take-offs, costs plans and tender submissions accurately to deadline
- Attend pre and post tender meetings with clients, engineers and developers
- Identify new business opportunities and contribute to securing repeat work
- Collaborate with directors to shape estimating strategy and bid pipeline
- keep up to date with material and labour costs, contracting rates and market trends
- Assist the construction team where necessary
What we are looking for :
Experience as an estimator in groundworks or civils
Strong network of industry contacts (developers/contractors/subcontractors) is a strong advantage
Excellent knowledge of the industry and tendering process
Strong commercial judgement and confidence in client communication
Motivated, proactive and comfortable working independently and as part of a team
