Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will be part of a global organisation that helps the mining industry meet its energy transition goals. Your main task will be maintaining a close and trusting relationship at a senior and C-suite level and acting as an ambassador for customer-centricity within ABB. Furthermore, you will work closely with the business to define development initiatives and devise an investment proposal for our divisions to capture the value of that business. Your mandate would combine profitable growth and scaling up new products and solutions within a complex international environment.

  • Creating an account strategy by understanding the critical business drivers of the customer and their business environment, interpreting the impact and opportunity for ABB.
  • Guiding and coaching the local organisation with best practices and providing the business with insights about the customer and competitive landscape.
  • Creating and managing tactical plans to grow or maintain the business with the customer, build the business case for such initiatives and manage its return on investment for ABB.
  • Identifying must-win opportunities in coordination with the local business and define annual sales targets for the account. Ensure that sales and profitability targets are achieved with a structured follow-up process.
  • Leading and orchestrating the engagements and relationship building amongst stakeholders within ABB and the customers at a senior and C-suite level.
  • Establishing an account team in different countries within ABB through regular cadence and hands-on engagement with our local businesses. Work to maintain high customer satisfaction by addressing issues with the customer.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

  • You are highly skilled in sales and account management with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate your experience in coaching customer-facing professionals to improve their performance. You have a track record of successful strategy design and implementation.
  • You have a strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • A curious individual with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Degree in Engineering or Business and possess a basic knowledge in finance and understanding of financial statements.
  • Willingness to travel to different parts of the world (depending on the account needs, can be up to 70%).
