Executive Summary
Role Title: Group Actuarial Analyst Modelling
Function: Group Finance
Location: London or Dublin (hybrid working)
Job Type: Permanent
Purpose of this role
The successful candidate will be a key member of the Athora Group Actuarial Function. The individual will support the wider function which is responsible for actuarial modelling. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development and success of the Group Actuarial Modelling Team while working in a vibrant and dynamic team.

Key Contribution Areas

  • Group modelling implementation to support financial reporting for local and Group balance sheets including (but not limited to): IFRS, Solvency II, and EBS.
  • Check accuracy of modelling choices and results.
  • Active contribution to improve quality of actuarial asset and investment strategy models.
  • Active contribution to innovative initiatives such as process automation and enhancing analysis and controls.
  • Support to the implementation of the actuarial modelling standard framework in the different Business units.
  • Support the integration of future acquisitions or portfolio transfers into the Athora Group.
  • Support other actuarial teams and wider Group functions as required.

Functional or Technical Knowledge and Skill Required

  • Strong Python programming skills
  • Experience using actuarial software (e.g. RAFM, Prophet, MG-Alfa…)
  • Previous experience in RAFM implementation projects would be an advantage.
  • Excellent MS Office skills.
  • Experience working in an actuarial modelling function with a good working understanding of SII, IFRS or EBS reporting requirements.
  • Detailed understanding of asset-liability cashflow models.
