Description Cragun’s Resort on beautiful Gull Lake is looking for an experienced and energetic Group Sales Manager to join our expanding team! The ideal candidate for this position is someone who thrives on building client relationships to drive new and repeat business to our expanding and legendary resort. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Driving revenue in all areas of the resort, including rooms, cabins, food and beverage, recreation, marina, golf and dining outlets Maintain current client relationships while proactively prospecting for new business Achieve individual revenue booking goals consistently Work collectively with other members of the sales team to accommodate the most profitable business for the resort Attend and network within industry and community organizations to establish business contacts Work collaboratively with the resort management team to continually improve resort product and services Conduct professional site inspections of the resort to help secure the business Respond to all leads and inquiries in a complete and timely manner Proactively guide clients through the sales process, asking probing questions to properly sell to the clients’ needs to deliver a “wow” experience for their guests Complete contracts and other correspondence in a timely and professional manner Work independently and proactively to complete sales calls and drive revenue in assigned markets Occasional travel required for sales trips, industry events, trade shows, etc., particularly to the Twin Cities market Perform special projects and other duties as assigned Requirements Minimum of two years of resort or hotel sales experience preferred Experience selling to the Government and Association markets is a plus Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting is required Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills Position may require some evenings and weekends based on business needs Position reports to the Director of Revenue and Marketing Full Time Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Supplemental Life Insurances 401K with company match Paid Time Off Package Incredible resort discounts on Lodging, Dining, Marina Rentals, Golf, Use of Indoor Pool and other amenities
