Description

WHO WE ARE

We’re a Kelowna based Third Party Administrator/Payor (TPA/TPP) improving the health benefits experience for employers, insurers and, well, everybody! Our team leverages digital-focused strategies to provide members with fast, easy and thoughtful benefits experiences. To put it simply, we provide group benefits plans, but we’re a technology company first. Our team embraces autonomy, complexity and a connection between effort and reward as three qualities that foster a truly satisfying career and strive to separate ourselves from the corporate herd.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Group Benefits Underwriting Assistant to work full-time as part of our insurance team. This role is a key resource in supporting the Underwriting Team and Sales Team in meeting the needs of clients and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

As part of the Underwriting Support Team, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient operations and timely processing of group insurance quotes and renewals. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing proposal documents in alignment with underwriting guidelines.
  • Maintaining organized and up-to-date filing systems for quotes and renewals.
  • Pre-screening RTQ (Request to Quote) files to ensure quote packages are complete and ready for underwriting decisions.
  • Assigning workflows to the Underwriting Team using the quote tracker and established email filing protocols.
  • Providing reporting and administrative support to Sales Representatives, Underwriters, and the Service Team.
  • Maintaining the Master Group List and other internal tracking reports.
  • Assisting with renewal preparation to support timely processing and delivery.
  • Distributing monthly New Business reports to carrier partners.
  • Handling ad-hoc tasks and special projects to support the broader Underwriting Team.
