Due to an internal transfer, we are currently looking for a Group Broking Manager (GBM) to join our team in Wellington. In this role, strong leadership skills are essential as you will be responsible for coaching and mentoring a team of Brokers & Broker Associates. Your role will involve providing guidance and support to the team, helping them meet targets. Your ability to inspire and motivate a team will be key in driving their success. Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, this is an excellent chance to become a part of a highly capable leadership team and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the branch. You will play a crucial role in fostering a distinctive branch culture and driving its growth. You will need to be confident, proactive, adaptable, and resilient. These traits will enable you to navigate and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be interacting with various stakeholders, both internally and externally. Your ability to think on your feet and make quick, informed decisions will be crucial in this role. How you'll make an impact Develop and manage exceptional client relationships to deliver an outstanding customer experience Assist in generating growth within the existing portfolio and convert new business Contribute to mid and short-term business strategy and planning to ensure targets are in line with market trends, regulations and operational processes Develop and monitor delivery of retention and profitability (new business, growth) targets for self and the team, to achieve and exceed agreed levels of performance Mentor, coach and motivate team members to achieve business targets Skills and Experience Proven ability in coaching a team and performance management. Proven ability to develop and manage complex client accounts and generate, qualify and close new business opportunities. Negotiation skills coupled with the ability to be flexible and innovative. Comfortable explaining complex concepts and making recommendations to customers. Demonstrated experience of presenting to and building relationships with key decision makers A high degree of commercial acumen and experience. Complies with FSLAA regarding holding a Certificate in Financial Services (NZQA Level 5). Responsibilities
