Group Chemicals Product Portfolio Management Expert MOL Group – Group Chemicals Market Strategy & Product Development 📍 Location: Budapest / Pozsony Purpose of the Role The purpose of this position is to lead end-to-end product development project management in order to maximize the value generation of the Polymer and Polyol product portfolio. You will act as a central focal point for all product development projects, coordinating cross-functional contributors from Business Development, Sales, R&D, Technology and Production. Key Responsibilities End-to-end product development project management Full ownership of product development projects from idea generation through development to post-commercial evaluation Converting ideas into structured project proposals, filtering initiatives and validating business and technical inputs Preparing high-quality decision-making materials (Strategy Fit, Business Case Documents, ad-hoc analyses) to support senior management decisions Product development portfolio coordination Continuous coordination and tracking of 10–30 parallel product development projects Driving R&D project execution by ensuring timelines, scope and quality requirements are met Ongoing performance re-evaluation during the Commerce phase Governance & forums Leading Expert Team meetings, coordinating stakeholder inputs and facilitating informed decision proposals Supporting Product Portfolio Council meetings with full preparation and follow-up (agenda, MoM, status overviews) Reporting, methodology & value creation Delivering regular, insightful management reporting on product development projects, including strategic relevance and value impact Acting as an objective “cold-eye” challenger, improving decision quality and outcomes Ensuring a standardized and fit-for-purpose methodology for project evaluation across the portfolio Providing ad-hoc support in product development and product management-related topics What We Expect From You 🎓 Education University degree in a scientific or technical field 💼 Experience Minimum 5 years of relevant international experience Experience with at least one relevant product group: Polypropylene, Polyethylene or Polyols Background in product management, sales, production or related areas 🧠 Skills Strong analytical mindset Excellent communication and negotiation skills Structured, proactive project management approach 🌐 Languages Advanced English (mandatory) Hungarian and/or Slovak language skills are an advantage 💻 IT Skills MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) What We Offer: The chance to work on high-impact strategic projects in a collaborative, forward-thinking team Access to professional development programs Competitive compensation package including benefits: Gross 800.000 HUF/year cafeteria.
