Are you an experienced compliance leader with a strategic mindset and a passion for driving meaningful change? Bauer Media Group is looking for a Group Compliance Director to take our compliance programs to the next level and facilitate data protection and sustainability initiatives across the group.

Reporting to the Group Deputy General Counsel, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of Group Compliance and lead the Data Protection and Sustainability teams, ensuring our operations align with legal, regulatory, industry and ethical standards.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Comprehensive experience in in-house compliance, ideally in media or digital businesses, with proven leadership in managing complex compliance programs across multiple jurisdictions
  • Expert project manager – Able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Pragmatic and solution-driven – A strategic thinker who can balance risk, compliance and business needs
  • Collaborative leader – Work cross-functionally to drive impactful change across the organisation
  • Fluent in written and spoken German and English

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of group wide compliance strategies, programs and initiatives that align with industry best practices and Bauer’s unique operational landscape
  • Oversee policy management, our speak-up system and related compliance investigations, monitor and advise on new legislative developments, and ensure training and learnings are shared across the group via our Compliance Partner Network
  • Enable sustainability and data protection by collaborating with key teams to drive compliance with sustainability laws and data protection regulations
  • Lead and develop the Compliance Team – Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and leadership to the Group Compliance, Group Data Protection and Group Sustainability teams – whilst collaborating effectively with business leaders and other global business partners.
