Responsibilities

As Group, Conference and Events Executive, you will actively convert customer enquiries into confirmed sales, frequently identifying further opportunities for increased revenue and building relationships with clients to earn repeat and expanding business. In addition, you will activate and plan events/meetings understand the detail, find solutions and deliver an excellent customer experience. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Receive, generate and convert enquiries to achieve targets and maximize revenue
  • Manage and issue customer contracts
  • Seek to fully understand customer needs/aims
  • Build strong and lasting relationships with customers
  • Understand, capture and activate the minutia of detail for every event/meeting
  • Ensure the customer experience is exceptional
  • Arrange and carry out Hotel show rounds
  • Show initiative and pro-activity to generate and grow current and new business
  • Maintain quality and delivery standards for proposals; prioritising the needs of the customer
  • Arrange pre-event visits/show rounds
  • Develop and produce quality BEOs; prioritising the needs of the customer
  • Liaise with Operations to deliver exceptional events
  • Manage customer requests and enquiries within acceptable timeframes
  • Utilise our tools and resources to maximise efficiencies, opportunities and revenue which include Delphi, Demand Calendar and more.
  • Understand our product offerings, their price and the processes and systems designed to present them to our customers
  • Communicate and support the Director of Sales and reservations colleagues and wider colleagues within the Commercial Department
  • Communicate clearly between customers, reservations, and operations – both way
