Job Description
Responsibilities:
The Group Corporate Counsel will provide timely legal counsel and responsibility for a range of strategic corporate and commercial matters and safeguarding Cuscal’s reputation by ensuring Cuscal stays ahead of potential legal risks and enabling the Leadership Team to make informed strategic choices within an acceptable legal risk profile. As the Group Corporate Counsel, you will work closely with the business to develop trusted relationships with multiple stakeholder groups.
Here’s some more insight into what you’ll work on,
- Provide expert legal advice across a broad range of areas.
- Advise Cuscal on its legal rights and obligations and identify solutions to eliminate or mitigate legal and regulatory risk.
- Advise on or set internal policies where applicable.
- Ensure that the General Counsel and Legal Team are informed of new or proposed legislation or regulatory activity that may affect Cuscal’s operations and have oversight as necessary to ensure regulatory changes are fully embedded in the business.
- Liaise with regulators, government officials, department or tribunals on matters affecting Cuscal where required in conjunction with the Risk function.
- Negotiate, draft and settle all major client contracts, vendor contracts, and other commercial arrangements to safeguard Cuscal’s interest.
