Overview of the Role The Group Data Analyst will join the Group Financial Planning and Analysis team in Bangkok and play a critical role in transforming complex data into actionable insights at a group-wide level. This position is responsible for advanced data visualization, SQL-driven analytics, and the integration of automation and AI into reporting processes. The role partners closely with business and technical stakeholders to enhance decision-making, standardize KPIs, and promote a data-driven culture across multiple business units. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain high-impact interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI for group-level stakeholders Utilize Power Query to transform, clean, and shape data from multiple sources and sub-entities Develop and optimize complex DAX measures and data models for performance and scalability Create standardized and customizable visualizations using Vega-Lite (or demonstrate willingness to learn) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, objectives, and reporting needs Establish and maintain unified KPIs to ensure data consistency and accuracy across all business units Deliver regular and ad-hoc analytical reports to stakeholders Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, including joins, CTEs, window functions, and stored procedures Work closely with IT and Data Engineering teams to improve data pipelines and ensure data integrity Identify and implement opportunities to automate data collection and reporting using tools such as Power Automate, Microsoft Azure, Python, or SQL-based automation Translate complex technical insights into clear and concise narratives for senior and non-technical stakeholders Act as a subject matter expert for data analytics best practices across the group Conduct training sessions to support self-service analytics and strengthen data literacy Background and Experience Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field 3–5 years of experience in a data analytics role, preferably within a group or multi-entity environment Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including Power Query (M), DAX, and Row-Level Security Expert-level SQL skills, including query optimization and stored procedures Experience with automation tools such as Power Automate, VBA, Microsoft Azure, or Python Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is preferred Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst certification (PL-300) is an advantage Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal Additional Details This role may require regional and international travel to group companies, customer sites, or vendor locations from time to time. A basic understanding of finance and accounting principles is expected to effectively support group-level financial analysis and reporting initiatives. The position demands strong problem-solving capabilities, clear communication skills, and the ability to work with ambiguity in a fast-paced, multi-business environment.
