Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As the Group Finance Manager at CEA, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial health of the organisation. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will lead the Group Finance team, managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with all financial controls. This is an exciting 2IC opportunity for an experienced finance professional to contribute to the growth and success of CEA while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred).
  • At least 10+ years of experience in a senior finance role, with a proven track record of financial management, reporting, and analysis for an organisation with complex requirements.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing multiple teams
  • Experience in the construction or heavy equipment industries is an advantage but not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, tax regulations, and financial compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP implementation is desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Accounting, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Teams
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports and monthly management reports.
  • Manage financial operation teams of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Provide financial analysis to support decision-making across the organization, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity management to ensure financial stability and growth.
  • Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks.
  • Work closely with external auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Mentor, guide, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
