About the role We’re looking for a hands-on finance leader to own financial operations across Australia, New Zealand and the US. Reporting into the VP Finance, you’ll lead a small, high-performing team and be the anchor for accuracy, reconciliation discipline, and continuous improvement as we scale. This role suits someone who is as comfortable in the detail as they are driving better processes, stronger controls, and reliable reporting. You’ll shape how our finance function operates as we grow. What you'll do Financial Operations Oversee billings, collections, AP and payroll across all entities. Maintain accuracy through strong reconciliation discipline and effective controls. Approve payments and ensure supplier verification and policy compliance. Month-End & Reporting Lead month-end close by Working Day 8 with accurate financials, commentary and variance analysis. Consolidate multi-entity, multi-currency results with regional teams. Review journals, reconciliations, intercompany balances and balance sheet accounts. Prepare monthly management reporting with the VP Finance. Compliance & Governance Ensure compliance with payroll obligations and indirect taxes across AU/NZ/US. Manage R&D claims, income tax filings and other statutory requirements with external advisors. Lead annual audit preparation and manage timelines. Maintain financial policies, internal controls and transfer pricing documentation. Planning & Forecasting Support the annual budget and embed approved budgets into reporting. Own rolling 12-month forecasting and cashflow management. Leadership & Improvement Lead and develop a small AU/NZ/US finance team (plus an outsourced bookkeeper). Improve processes, workflows and tooling to support scale. Contribute to ad-hoc financial and operational projects. About you CPA or CA qualification. Experience managing multi-entity, multi-currency financials (SaaS experience ideal) Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP and consolidated reporting. Proven ability to lead and develop a small team. Advanced Excel/G-Sheet skills and comfort with financial modelling. Clear, practical communication style and the ability to engage stakeholders. Experience with Xero, Fathom, Airwallex, HubSpot or BI tools is a bonus. A continuous improvement mindset - spotting risks, fixing gaps, and lifting standards.
