ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated Group Finance Manager to oversee end-to-end finance operations and offer strategic insight supporting commercial and operational decision-making. This is a pivotal role suited to a hands-on professional looking to lead finance for a growing contracting business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive the full finance cycle: AR/AP, payroll, VAT returns, bank reconciliations and statutory reporting.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts, with insightful variance and trend analysis.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting, including cash flow projections linked to project schedules.
• Oversee project-level costing and invoice management to support contract profitability and cash flow.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with Companies House, HMRC and audit standards.
• Collaborate with external advisors (auditors, tax advisors, banks).
• Support strategic business planning through financial modelling and KPI reporting.
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and financial transparency.
