OVERVIEW

Argentra PLC is seeking a dynamic and qualified Group Finance Manager to oversee and develop the group’s financial function. This senior leadership role will be pivotal in ensuring accurate reporting, robust financial control, and delivering strategic financial insight across all business units.
With responsibility for management accounts, financial planning, and system implementation, the successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with excellent leadership skills. You will act as the driving force behind group-wide finance operations, supporting the board in strategic decision-making while mentoring the accounts and purchasing team.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience in a senior finance or management role.
  • Strong background in producing and presenting management accounts at group level.
  • Deep technical knowledge across all aspects of finance, including compliance, cashflow, and reporting.
  • Proven high-level Excel capability (financial modelling, scenario analysis, advanced functions).
  • Strong systems knowledge with a track record of adapting to or implementing new platforms.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of management accounts, group consolidations, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Provide timely, clear financial reporting to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Oversee cashflow management, balance sheet reconciliations, and forward financial planning.
  • Ensure compliance with group accounting policies, audit, tax, and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with directors to support strategic decision-making and long-term growth initiatives.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the finance team, including accounts and purchasing.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, processes, and internal controls.
  • Act as the lead on group financial systems — Microsoft Dynamics experience is highly desirable, or candidates must demonstrate strong technical proficiency and the ability to implement and master new systems rapidly.
  • Apply exceptional Excel skills, including the ability to build complex financial models and deliver high-level analysis.
