About the role  We’re on the lookout for a Group Financial Reporting Manager to join our Finance team in Dunsandel. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of the Group’s financial reporting, while driving strong governance, robust controls, and continuous improvement across reporting processes. You’ll play a critical role in leading external audit engagement, delivering high-quality financial insights to the Executive Leadership Team and Board and supporting technical accounting requirements across a complex, multi-entity environment.  Key responsibilities of this role include..  * Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in line with NZ IFRS and internal policies * Own and manage the external audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors and ensuring timely resolution of audit matters * Prepare reporting and insights for the Audit and Risk Committee, Executive Leadership Team, and key stakeholders * Provide technical accounting advice on complex transactions and new accounting standards * Maintain strong financial controls and ensure the business remains audit-ready at all time * Deliver variance analysis and insights on balance sheet and key financial drivers * Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and reporting efficiencies * Support broader finance initiatives, including treasury, cash flow, and foreign exchange analysis where required About you You’ll be a technically strong finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment. You’re confident operating at a Group level and enjoy working through technical accounting challenges while improving processes and driving meaningful outcomes.  Skills and Experience   The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:   * 5–7+ years’ experience in financial reporting, audit, or technical accounting within a complex or group environment * Strong experience preparing or reviewing consolidated financial statements under NZ IFRS * Proven track record managing external audit processes end-to-end * Experience within a listed or large corporate environment preferred * Strong understanding of financial controls, risk and compliance frameworks * Exposure to multi-entity or multi-jurisdiction reporting environments advantageous * ERP system experience (e.g. SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and financial reporting tools * CA ANZ qualification (or equivalent) with strong technical accounting capability * Proven ability to identify and drive process improvement initiatives  About us – The Synlait Spirit    Synlait is more than a global leader in milk nutrition – we're a purpose-led team that’s Doing Milk Differently For A Healthier World. Our Synlait Spirit guides everything we do, from how we show up each day to the impact we create together. Responsibilities
