Group Fitness Instructor
Location: South End, Boston, MA
Type: Part-Time / Full-Time
About Epoc Studios
Epoc Studios is a boutique strength and conditioning space in Boston’s South End. We specialize in structured, science-backed small group training that combines the precision of progressive overload with the energy of community-driven classes. Our mission is to make elite-level training accessible, effective, and fun for everyday professionals who want results.
The Role
We’re looking for a dynamic Group Fitness Instructor to join our coaching team. This isn’t a “press play on a playlist and cheer” type of role—it’s about leading high-quality, structured workouts with intention, ensuring clients train smarter, push harder, and see measurable progress week after week.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engaging, high-energy group classes (8–12 participants) following Epoc Studios’ structured strength and conditioning programming.
  • Demonstrate and coach proper form, providing modifications for all fitness levels while keeping classes safe and challenging.
  • Foster a motivating, inclusive environment that builds community and keeps members accountable.
  • Track and encourage client performance through our training app (weights, reps, benchmarks).
  • Maintain studio culture and standards, including setting up equipment, class transitions, and ensuring a professional client experience.
  • Contribute to the Epoc brand through energy, professionalism, and an authentic passion for helping clients progress.

Qualifications

  • Certified Personal Trainer or Group Fitness Certification (NASM, ACSM, ACE, NSCA, or equivalent). Or willing to obtain.
  • 1–2 years of group training or personal training experience preferred.
  • Strong background in strength training, functional fitness, or athletic performance.
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills.
  • Ability to connect with diverse populations—from first-time gym-goers to experienced athletes.
  • CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain).

What We Offer

  • Competitive class rates + potential for private training opportunities.
  • Complimentary membership at Epoc Studios.
  • Ongoing training and development in science-backed strength & conditioning.
  • Opportunity to grow with a modern, forward-thinking fitness brand at the heart of Boston’s South End.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $37.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week

Benefits:

  • Flexible schedule
  • Free fitness classes
  • Gym membership
