Description

GROUP GENERAL MANAGER - HOTELS

We are currently seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Group General Manager to join a respected and growing Irish-owned hotel group in Connacht.
This strategic leadership role will oversee the full operational and commercial performance within the group, ensuring consistency in service excellence, operational standards, and financial performance. The successful candidate will bring a strong commercial mindset, deep operational expertise, and a passion for hospitality, while inspiring and guiding a team of General Managers to exceed business objectives.
This group of six hotels - all proudly Irish-owned - includes a mix of vibrant city locations and scenic countryside properties, each offering guests a unique yet consistently high-quality experience. The Group General Manager will lead with integrity and vision, implementing group-wide strategies and maintaining a hands-on presence across all properties. A strong focus on revenue growth, guest satisfaction, team development, and cost control will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor the General Managers across all six hotels, driving high performance, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee the implementation of group-wide strategies, operational policies, and service standards to ensure consistency across all properties.
  • Monitor and analyse hotel performance metrics, including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, F&B revenues, and departmental cost controls.
  • Develop and execute business plans in collaboration with individual hotel teams to achieve key performance indicators and maximise results.
  • Drive service excellence and operational efficiency across all departments, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, and Finance.
  • Lead health and safety compliance across the group, ensuring best-in-class practices and a safe environment for staff and guests.
  • Take an active role in the group’s commercial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, pricing, and marketing initiatives.
  • Foster a strong team culture and talent development environment, conducting regular performance reviews and succession planning.
  • Represent the group professionally at industry forums and events, maintaining and enhancing the brand’s reputation and market position.
  • Remain present and engaged across all hotels, maintaining visibility and offering support, direction, and accountability to all senior hotel leaders.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a senior hospitality professional to make a significant impact within a dynamic and ambitious hotel group, contributing to its continued growth and success across the Irish market.
