Job Description Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develop and implement a robust retail sales strategy aligned with the organisation’s overall growth objectives and market positioning. Conduct regular market analysis to identify emerging trends, client needs, and competitive opportunities in the retail investment space. Collaborate with product, marketing, and digital teams to ensure retail offerings remain innovative, relevant, and competitive. Lead strategic initiatives to expand geographic reach and penetrate new retail markets. Sales Management & Execution Set ambitious but achievable sales targets for the retail sales team and monitor performance against these objectives. Oversee the design and execution of sales campaigns, promotions, and initiatives to drive client acquisition and retention. Optimise sales processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across all retail channels. Analyse sales data and market feedback to refine strategies and improve outcomes. Channel Development & Optimisation Develop and manage multi-channel sales strategies, including direct sales, digital platforms, financial advisers, and third-party distributors. Strengthen relationships with distribution partners to maximise reach and impact in the retail segment. Evaluate and introduce new sales channels and technologies to enhance client engagement and access. Ensure seamless integration and consistent messaging across all channels. Client Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with retail clients, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction. Oversee the development of tailored investment solutions and educational resources for retail investors. Implement feedback mechanisms to capture client insights and drive continuous improvement in service delivery. Lead client engagement initiatives, such as seminars, webinars, and events, to foster loyalty and trust. Performance Monitoring & Reporting Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sales effectiveness and market penetration. Prepare detailed sales reports and insights for executive management and the board. Utilise data analytics to assess trends, identify opportunities, and address challenges proactively. Ensure accuracy, transparency, and timeliness in all reporting activities. Risk & Compliance Ensure all retail sales activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies. Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with sales practices, client interactions, and market entry. Work closely with compliance, legal, and risk teams to maintain high standards of integrity and ethical conduct. Foster a culture of compliance and responsible selling across the retail sales function. Qualifications Qualifications & Experience MSc/MBA in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in retail sales, asset management, financial services, or related sectors. Proven track record in leading successful retail sales teams and delivering sustained growth. Strong knowledge of investment products, retail distribution channels, and regulatory frameworks. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and adapt to changing market dynamics.
