POSITION: GROUP HOME SUPPORT SPECIALIST (PART-TIME & TEMPORARY FULL-TIME)

We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced Group Home Support Specialists for part-time and temporary full-time assignments supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and complex needs. You will work in group home and community-based settings, playing a key role in providing consistent care, behavioral support, and promoting client independence.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma or Degree in Developmental Services Worker (DSW), Social Service Worker (SSW), or a related field (Required)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, Autism, mental health challenges, or behavioral needs (preferably in residential/group home settings)

CERTIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C (Required)
  • Valid or willingness to obtain SMG (Supporting Management of Aggressive Behaviour) or UMAB (Understanding and Managing Aggressive Behaviour) certification (Required)
  • Recent Vulnerable Sector Check (within 6 months or willingness to obtain)
  • Up-to-date immunizations, recent TB test, and minimum 2 doses of COVID-19 vaccine (Required)
