GROUP HSQE MANAGER

Location: Scunthorpe & Wisbech, UK (Regular travel between sites required)
Salary: £45,000 – £51,000 per year

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONSESSENTIAL:

  • Proven track record as an HSQE Manager or Senior HSQE Engineer in industrial manufacturing.
  • Strong experience with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, Type Approval, and CoP.
  • Level 6 Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH Diploma, NCRQ Level 6, or NVQ Level 6 Diploma).
  • Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH).

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Group HSQE Manager to lead Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental performance across both our manufacturing sites. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be the driving force behind compliance, ISO accreditation, and safety culture transformation — all while supporting operational efficiency and innovation.This is a high-impact leadership position, perfect for a hands-on professional who can combine strategic oversight with on-the-ground engagement.Key ResponsibilitiesHealth & Safety

  • Lead the business-wide H&S strategy, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Develop and deliver site-specific inductions, regular inspections, and PPE management.
  • Oversee employee health screening and pre-employment medical processes.
  • Lead digital transformation for HSQE records and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with key legislation (e.g., legionella, asbestos, building regulations).
  • Chair quarterly H&S meetings and track action completion.
  • Conduct incident investigations, root cause analyses, and enforce corrective actions.
  • Manage internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and compliance.
  • Coach managers in creating risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH documentation.
